The Sbagliato Kit
Loved it!!
The Sbagliato is a trend now, but we've been crushing them all year long.
In Italian, 'Sbagliato' means 'mistake.' The story goes that a bartender was making a negroni, and added sparkling wine instead of gin.
You'll find all kinds or recipes for it, but we like one ounce each of vermouth, Campari and something bubbly. If you're using a nice vermouth like Pleased to Meet You, you can dial back the amount of Campari, since it can easily take over the cocktail.
Lately it's trendy to use Prosecco in a Sbagliato, but we love making it with rosé. The strawberry notes of Soif pair perfectly with the grapefruit-like Muscat in our vermouth.
But white bubbles work great too. Lantana is clean, sparkling pét nat—perfect for a Tuesday night Sbagliato. 😉
This pack comes with 1 each of:
Soif: is a juicy glugger made with Montmorency cherries, Zweigelt grape, and strawberries. Strawberry aromas trick you into thinking it's sweet, but it's not, once you taste it cherry + Zweigelt tannins dry everything right out. Soif is summer fruit, perfectly preserved. 6.1% ABV, 750mL
Lantana: Is a Seyval Blanc pét nat, fermented 3 ways: in oak, on skins and as free run juice. Champagne like, Lantana is highly sparkling, so get it real cold before opening. You'll find notes of canteloupe, melon balls and brioche in this wine. 12% ABV, 750mL
Pleased to Meet You: A sweet, rosé vermouth made from Muscat, cherries, Sauvignon Blanc and Zweigelt + chamomile, wormwood, ocean rose, and tarragon. It has big chamomile and citrus aroma, and tastes like grapefruit rind + sweet flowers.
Bittersweet and balanced, it's the perfect vermouth for a Sbagliato, negroni or just straight over a big ice cube. 16.8% ABV, 750mL
Each blend is gluten free and vegan.
