Mithras has become a beloved cider for us. It's a stone fruit extravaganza, made with a boatload of Niagara grown Nectarines and Saturn Peaches. We added a few Mexican Vanilla Beans to round it out.
This year's addition of Saturn Peaches has given it more complexity. Saturn Peaches (aka Donut Peaches) are flat, thick skinned (like a mango) and much more tropical in aroma.
Mithras has loads of fruit character up front, with bright and lively stone fruit acidity. It's dry, tart, with a splash of vanilla as it finishes. It's what I want to crush these days.
Made with 250g/L of stone fruit. Spontaneously fermented as per usual.
