Founded in 2014, Revel is a small cidery in Guelph, Ontario. We are committed to making high-quality, delicious and innovative ciders, wines and aperitifs that change perceptions of what each of these products can be.

We are currently looking for two people to join our team in the following roles: Tasting Room Staff (part time), and Delivery Driver (part time).

We are looking for an individual to work part time in our tasting room, alongside a small but mighty team.

While this position requires previous experience in the food and beverage industry, it is a great opportunity to learn more about some of the most unique ciders, wines and vermouths on the market. You will learn about each of the products we make, and exactly how we make them.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a positive attitude, great work ethic, and the ability to be a team player. The ideal candidate will be well organized, personable, able to work in a fast paced environment and troubleshoot on the spot.

Responsibilities include:

• Introducing customers to Revel, and guiding them through our products in an in-person setting
• Learning and staying up to date on Revel’s products and sharing this information with customers in an engaging way
• Creating an inviting environment for customers and providing an exceptional experience from start to finish
• Preparing and serving cocktails, drinks and light snacks
• Performing opening and closing duties, including general cleaning of the space
• Assisting retail customers

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a hospitality environment
• A valid Smart Serve certificate
• A valid Food Handlers certificate is an asset
• Knowledge of wine, cider, vermouth and cocktails is an asset

Compensation for this role is $18/hr + tips, with health benefits after 90 days of employment.

We are looking for a part-time delivery driver.

The ideal candidate will be well organized and independent. Excellent problem solving and communication skills are required. Candidates must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering cases of cider to residential and business addresses (in Toronto, Guelph and surrounding areas)
• Following GPS instructions while driving
• Communicating with customers over the phone to resolve delivery issues as they arise during the workday
• Delivering cases and kegs wholesale (bar + restaurant) customers
• Picking up labels from our supplier north of Toronto
• Picking up fruit and completing other odd jobs on an as needed basis
• Filling up the gas tank at the end of shifts as needed

High level competency in the following areas is considered an asset:

• Interpersonal communication via phone calls and text
• Independent problem solving skills
• Digital literacy - the ability to use Google Maps comfortably and proficiently in conjunction with our route optimization app
• Comfortable driving in large cities with a larger (Sprinter style) delivery van
• Knowledge and/or experience driving in Toronto neighbourhoods
• We deliver every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Guelph and Toronto. These days range from 7-10 hours, but change seasonally.

The average work week is 25-30 hours.
