We made this cherry wine by blending two of our favourite fruits: Montmorency cherries, and NY Muscat (Ontario grown, of course).

We bring our cherries in within 24 hours of harvest, and let them press themselves in a stainless steel tank, using just the free run juice for cherry wine.

The Muscat portion was left on skins for 3 months before a gentle press, and blended just before bottling.

What's it like?: Our red Muscat lends its signature punchy watermelon aromas here and softens the zippy acid of our Montmorency cherries.

The soft almond/baking spice notes of the cherries lift the Muscat to the front—it kind of feels like two of our nicest fruits showing off.

We bottled this blend sparkling, to emphasize the special aroma of our Muscat on top of the bright fruit of our tart cherries.
